Her motto is: "Be strong and courageous." (Joshua 1:9)
Her story was spotted and she was selected to appear on the show, Herman en die Ladies.
The host is Herman Lensing, well-known chef and writer of six cook books. He is the Sarie magazine food editor and editor of Sarie Kos, the food-specific publication by the magazine.

The show is on Wednesdays at 18:00 and the repeat of Lizette's episode is this Tuesday at 22:30. Lizette's story is intriguing. If you missed seeing her on Wednesday, watch the repeat. The repeats are always on Tuesdays at 22:30.
October
The series will be running during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Herman Lensing treats the women with his beautiful, mouth-watering creations and each woman is given a make-up and style makeover. The women get to speak about their cancer experiences.
Lizette will be turning 40 on 1 October.
She had a mastectomy in January 2021. "That is the way I started New Year in 2021," she told Mossel Bay Advertiser.
"I had a lump in my breast, which grew really quickly. My husband told me I should go to the doctor."
The couple have two children - a girl and a boy.
Herman en die Ladies was filmed in Cape Town.
"They booked me a return flight. I was really nervous on set, but they give you a chance; they cut and then begin scenes over again.
"It was really something to experience. Now I understand how people feel, acting in 7de Laan. It was great.
"Herman's food was really nice. I enjoyed everything thoroughly, although I was nervous."
Lizette was given an elegant yellow dress as part of the makeover. Humble and softly spoken, she says she felt happy and fortunate to be able to keep the dress.
