GARDEN ROUTE CRICKET NEWS - Three matches in the LastManStands Cricket Tournament were played in Great Brak River on Sunday, 12 August.
Because of the unplayable, wet pitch, matches were moved from Heatherlands High in George to Great Brak.
Annemaniacs, from Great Brak, managed to beat Mix and Match from Mossel Bay and George Outlaws, after which Alpha Pack, also from Mossel Bay, beat George Outlaws.
In the final match Annemaniacs beat Mossel Bay's Vikings by a small margin.
The scores were:
- 08:00: Annemaniacs (115) beat Mix and Match (71).
- 10:00: Annemaniacs (169) beat George Outlaws (88).
- 12:00: Alpha Pack (149) beat George Outlaws (108).
- 14:00: Vikings (147) lost to Annemaniacs (151).
LastManStands is the fastest-growing social cricket competition in the world and was recently launched by Morné Jonker in George.

Morné Jonker, who recently launched LastManStands in George, was named man of the match for Annemaniacs after scoring an unbeaten 50 in all three of his team's matches.
Christo van Schalkwyk from Vikings in Mossel Bay, retired on 50 not out from 32 balls against Annemaniacs.
