Mayor congratulates firefighters
"After speaking to and attending a thanksgiving service of Delvin Safers, a Mossel Bay man who was the first to be rescued from the Victoria Street building collapse in George in May 2024, I have first-hand experience of the immense gratitude towards these who perform heroic deeds to rescue people.
"Our firefighters know the meaning of grit and are indeed real life heroes who do us proud," said Mossel Bay executive mayor Dirk Kotzé during the prize giving.
