MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The funds raised by the four greater Mossel Bay CPFs during the Marsh Street Kaskar Race on 30 August have all gone towards sports balls, which were handed over to six schools in the area.
Along with some members of the Kwa-Nonqaba Police Station and the Mossel Bay CPF, the KwaNonqaba CPF handed over bright and colourful rugby, netball and soccer balls to Garden Route High and Indwe Secondary on 16 October.
The Da Gamaskop CPF, along with some officers from the police station, visited Sao Bras High and Hillcrest Secondary on 22 October to hand over their share of sports balls.
The CPF said in a Facebook post that its members had also handed over certificates to four learners at Sao Bras who participated in the kaskar race.
"These boys showed incredible courage as they raced down the hill, a moment beautifully captured in photographs that reflect their enthusiasm and fearless spirit.
"They've already promised to return next year to beat their time," stated the post.
