The festival was organised by the owner of Twin Trees restaurant Laurette Swanepoel and her chef and events manager, José Benedito.
Twin Trees is in Long Street, Great Brak. Besides this restaurant, Laurette also has a waffle house and wine interests.
A Mediterranean food stall catered for festival attendees who wanted to get a quick meal while they were on the go and for those who wished to sit down to eat, there were woodfired pizzas, waffles and meat and fish on the menu.
Swanepoel wished to ensure the festival was for the whole family and that children would feel welcome, so there was a jungle gym, jumping castle and face painting.
For the dads, there were the latest luxury Lexus motorcars on show outside the restaurant.
Musicians performed and a radio station broadcast from the festival.
Swanepoel said: "This is the beginning of new things. Not everyone has the opportunity to go to wine farms in the Cape, so I decided to bring the wine farms here."
There were also local - Garden Route - wine farms represented at the event.
Swanepoel said: "The festival will take place every year in the first weekend in November. We plan to go bigger - as far as space allows."
Mossel Bay executive mayor, Alderman Dirk Kotzé, attended the festival.
