Oyster Catcher 3 Day Trail Run

PetroSA Development Fun Run
On Tuesday, 23 September the new event from Athletics South Western Districts will be hosted at the d’Almeida Sports Grounds.
PetroSA Marathon
On 28 September road races over various distances and with a total of almost R 600 000 in prize money and other incentives takes place. This year, the organisers (ASWD) are asking runners to help make a difference by donating pre-loved running shoes to children and teens, which will be distributed via Shoes For Planet Earth. Great Brak River Muse Festival
A festival aimed at positioning Great Brak River as ‘the Art Village of the Southern Cape’ takes place on 24 to 28 September. Highlights include a landscape installation on Suiderkruis Beach by the internationally acclaimed Strijdom van der Merwe, book signings, music, cabaret, wine tasting, high tea, art exhibitions, and more. Mossel Bay Sports Festival
The annual Sports Festival takes place between 3 to 7 October. More than 30 different sporting codes will be taking part. Highlights include a community walk - the ‘Moss March’ - as well as Africa’s largest cricket tournament, the KFC Point High Cricket Festival, and two major sailing events hosted by the Mossel Bay Yacht and Boat Club, the Southern Regional Championships incorporating the Eastern Cape Provincials, and the Fireball and Mosquito National Championships.
Golf: 'Best of Mossel Bay'
During the Sport Festival, Pinnacle Point and the Mossel Bay Golf Club in association with Global Golf will present a 2-day ‘Best of Mossel Bay’ tournament on 3 and 4 October, which will include one round at each course, shared cart hire at Pinnacle Point, prize-giving ceremonies on both days, and an evenings of entertainment at Pinnacle Point - all for just R 600.00 per player. Travel Mossel Bay takes place on 17 to 19 October, organised by Mossel Bay Tourism. The event will include day of discussions about tourism, two days of exhibitions by tourism products from around the Garden Route and Klein Karoo, and a day of visits to local attractions.
Cutter & Buck Pro-am
Spectators are invited to watch 32 four-balls made up of some of South Africa’s finest golfers playing on one of the world’s top courses on 19 to 22 October.
Mossel Bay Flower Show
On 24 to 26 October the annual Mossel Bay Flower Show takes place at the Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex. Categories include roses, cut flowers, succulents, shrubs, indigenous flowers, herbs, bonsai, pot plants. Participation is free, and prizes will be awarded in all categories.
Mossel Bay’s Whale Wave
On 25 October various parties and events will take place to thank the migratory southern right whales and the humpback whales that visit Mossel Bay every year to mate and calve, and to Wave them goodbye as they depart for their summer feeding grounds in the deep waters of the Antarctic region.
