LITTLE BRAK RIVER NEWS - Johni Kamfer (59), the man accused of attempting to strangle a 25-year-old woman to death in one of Little Brak River Beach’s public restrooms on Women’s Day, abandoned his bail application last Friday, 21 August.
Kamfer was arrested shortly after he allegedly forced the young woman, who reportedly knew and trusted him, into the ablution block for people with disabilities while she had been trying to finish her work, locking up all the bathrooms.
The woman luckily managed to escape with her life.
Kamfer appeared in the Great Brak River Periodical Court last Friday, when he abandoned his bail application, and the case was postponed to 29 September.
He remains behind bars.
