The premier of the film, which was shot in George, takes place at 16:00 tomorrow. To book, call 079 040 6783. Entry is free. There will be a bus leaving from George at 15:00 for those who might not have transport.
'Overwhelmed'
Williams says: "Even though it's been a number of months since the movie was shot, I am still overwhelmed because I've never been part of something like this before. I am very grateful to have been able to play a role in the movie. I am both excited and nervous to see it.
"I play Jennifer - a moody, feisty biker girl, coming from the wrong side of the tracks. She is all about herself and her family. Nothing else matters to her."
Williams is also one of the 10 semi-finalists in the Miss Eden FM competition. The winner will be decided tomorrow, the same day of the film premier.
She started studying towards a Bachelor of Arts at Varsity College in Gqeberha in February this year, but comes to Mossel Bay often because her family is still here.
Ndzeku said: "I look forward to seeing how the Garden Route community receives our short film. I am hoping we get some key players in the entertainment industry in the area to attend and witness our incredible first-time actors and engage with them for potential opportunities. I want this moment to be about their talent and exposure. I also thank Nelson Mandela University for allowing us to have the screening there. We appreciate support like theirs and all the support we have been receiving from the Garden Route community as a whole."
Feature
He says: "I am working on the further development of this short film into a feature, while continuing to develop the talent in the Garden Route as well as Cape Town."
Ndzeku, who studied at the George campus of Nelson Mandela University, has a diploma in Nature Conservation and an advanced diploma in Game Ranch Management.
He works as a seed conservation assistant with the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), stationed at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden in Cape Town.
"I have been involved in film since 2015, first as an actor then scriptwriter and editor, learning while doing," he says.
Courtney is an actress and model.
