MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay teen, Anelisa Ndlomoza (16) is in the finals of Miss Teenager South Africa 2025.
Anelisa, who is in grade 10 at Point High School, started modelling when she was just three years old, participating in fashion and runway modelling for most of her life. When she saw that entries for the Miss Teenager pageant had opened in December last year, she decided to go for it.
"I have always enjoyed modelling, and when I saw the call for entries, I decided I was the perfect age. I hadn't entered a pageant before, so I thought I would try something new," says Anelisa.
According to the Miss Teenager South Africa Facebook page, the pageant is focused on youth empowerment and making a difference in the lives of others. This, says Anelisa, is the core reason she entered the competition.
"I have a kind and soft heart, and I like helping people. Since grade 8, I have been involved in fundraisers for cancer patients and visited children and old age homes."

Anelisa says to be chosen as a finalist, one needs to inspire and empower others and do charity work. And as she has done exactly that, she was announced as a finalist on 20 July.
In her spare time, she likes to post TikToks and content to her Instagram account.
"I have to nurture my social media," she says.
"I am also always busy with my textbooks. I love literature, especially Romeo and Juliet."
Anelisa says although she loves modelling, when she finishes school, she wants to study law.
"I want to advocate for people. I would like to specialise in human rights law."
Anelisa lives with her mother, grandmother and father in Joe Slovo, Mossel Bay and says she is very close to her family. They always support her in whatever she takes on and her mother, Theresa Ndlomoza, has always been very proud of her daughter.

"I love her confidence. She motivates me because I am not confident. When I see her and what she has accomplished, I think I may have done a good job," Theresa says.
Asked by Mossel Bay Advertiser for a special message to the young women of Mossel Bay is, Anelisa says:
"Don't be scared to be seen. Do what you love with confidence!"
