MOSSEL BAY NEWS - There was matric farewell fever in town, with many photographs being shared over the past two weeks on social media of Point High School matrics in their glamorous gear.
Henru Holloway of Point High opted for something way different for his outfit.
Inspired by a tie with a print of Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night, he decided he would wear a Starry Night jacket.

Artwork
His mother, Christine Holloway, painted a replica of the artwork on a jacket from a second-hand store.
She said: "I didn't want to use a new jacket, in case I made a mistake."
She used Hybrid acrylic paint made for multi-surfaces, manufactured by Cadence.
"I made sure I bought yellow and red, so I could mix orange, plus a light blue, dark blue and white.
Paint
"I think all together, it took me a week to paint it. But because I only painted 'in between', when I had time, on weekends, it took me a month."
Henru was really determined he wanted to wear something different, like a red suit, but his partner decided to wear blue, so he opted for something that would match her dress.
Christine has been drawing and painting since she was a young child.
Friend
"Art was my friend," she says.
She also does flower arranging and hosts events with great creativity.
"I love art and anything creative," she says.
In keeping with the theme, Henru's partner at the farewell, Bianca Muller, held a bunch of sunflowers to celebrate Van Gogh's painting, Sunflowers.
