MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Nur Abrahams entertained a Mossel Bay audience with his special brand of "gentle jazz", as it has been called, on Saturday, 29 April.
This was part of the Garden Route Casino annual All that Jazz Weekend.
Abrahams' varied repertoire included Ed Sheeren, Luther Vandross, The Manhattans, Marvin Gaye, Toto and Third World.
"Third World?" you may ask. They were a late 70s, early 80s dance, pop, reggae band who sang Try Jah Love, Now that we've found love (what are we gonna do with it?) and Love's got me dancing on the floor.
Abrahams showed off his good voice. He has a wide range and can sing both high and low. He sang with the band, Public Opinion.

He had people on their feet, dancing from the word go.

The most endearing was a man who must be in his 70s, who appeared to have come without a partner and asked different ladies to dance with him.
It was the way he went about it that was a treat - smiling, graciously leading them on to the dance floor and being a real gentleman. And in the end he boogied the whole night.
