MOSSEL BAY SOCCER NEWS - The Yule Football School in Mossel Bay has partnered with a French NPO named Rainbow for a Smile to kit out Imekhaya Primary School's two soccer teams.
The handover ceremony took place on Thursday at the Imekhaya Primary School hall.
An interactive soccer skills session with the team followed after that, and the boys played proudly with their new uniforms.
With the help of the Heart-to-Heart Care Centre (the Social Justice arm of New Life Church) Imekhaya Primary School has been blessed with soccer kits for two of their soccer teams - their U12s and U15s.
This was made possible by Yohann Beurel, the owner of Yule Football School in Mossel Bay, and Benoit Serre and his team from Rainbow for a Smile, who travelled all the way from France and spent time with the soccer teams.
Benoit started Rainbow for a Smile in January 2019 after his first visit to South Africa and Mossel Bay, where he saw the need to assist local soccer teams with uniforms he collected in France.
Ben and Yohann share a strong belief that through soccer we will be able to motivate learners to do well academically and keep them away from the drug and alcohol influence in their communities.
Imekhaya principal Winnie Gwe and soccer coach, Ntuntwana Xolani, share their heartfelt gratitude and encourage the school soccer players to make the best of this opportunity and the resources given to them.
