MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Following an armed robbery at Mozambik Mossel Bay earlier today, 4 August, two men suspected to have been involved in the crime have been arrested.
The Mossel Bay Police arrested the men at the Elegant Fuel Station in Mayixhale Street, KwaNonqaba, at about 14:00, a few hours after the incident took place.
The pair reportedly fled the scene at Mozambik and were then spotted on security cameras, which helped the authorities to trace their whereabouts to the petrol station.
Mozambik’s owner, Albert Wiffen, told Mossel Bay Advertiser earlier that the suspects had been armed with weapons and reportedly locked several of the restaurant’s staff inside a room for about an hour, while an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.

No injuries were reported and no other suspects have been arrested.
The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
