Update
GREAT BRAK RIVER NEWS - The family of Denise Ellie Lewis-Swart, the woman who disappeared from the De Dekke Shopping Complex in Great Brak River last Thursday, 29 October, has thanked everyone who was involved in the search for her.
When she went missing that afternoon, her panicked husband, Ulrich Swart, immediately reported the matter to the police, and the search for Denise began.
She was found unharmed in Richmond, Northern Cape, on Friday afternoon. The police previously told Mossel Bay Advertiser that the men with her had not been arrested, but did not elaborate on this.
The police have not commented further on the matter.
Ulrich said he understands the public’s frustration at not knowing the circumstances, but he has asked for privacy as he and his family navigate the aftermath.
He said he is extremely thankful to everyone who helped: those who shared the reports and especially the police, whom he said worked tirelessly to find Denise.
Ulrich said from the moment he reported the matter, the police and relevant authorities began working around the clock on the case.
