MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Two well-known Mossel Bay residents and businesswomen, Esmé Alberts and Berenice Muller, were spotlighted at the South African Council of Business Women (SACBW) Awards last night, 24 October, held at the Diaz Hotel in Mossel Bay.
Alberts was crowned the SACBW’s Brand Ambassador - Business Woman of the Year for 2027, an honour she also received at last year’s awards, while Muller was named as second runner-up in the Social Entrepreneur - Warrior Woman category.
Both women are well-known in the Mossel Bay community: Alberts is a Director of Absolute Security, a local security company, and Muller is the CEO and founder of The Myrtle Tree, an NPO supporting single mothers and children in Mossel Bay.
She is also a Director of Simply Sow, an NPC caring for foster kids, and serves as Chairperson of the Louis57 Foundation.
“I am incredibly proud and grateful to be acknowledged for the work I do to empower women, uplift communities, and make a difference in people’s lives,” says Muller.
The Mossel Bay Municipality was selected as this year’s SACBW host.
Mayor Dirk Kotzé, municipal Speaker Venolea Fortuin (the evening’s keynote speaker), and Portfolio Chairperson for Infrastructure Services, Anton Dellemijn, attended last night’s event honouring several businesswomen from across South Africa.
The SACBW is an organisation aiming to empower and unite women in business and hosts many galas and awards evenings throughout the year.
