MOSSEL BAY NEWS - “Whatever tomorrow’s results may bring, whether good or bad, learners must remember they are more than just a mark on a page,” said Point High’s principal, Adolf Gouws.
To Mossel Bay’s matrics he says: “Remember that you are young people with potential and dreams.”
Gouws encouraged the matriculants to move forward with confidence and gratitude, and to carry the foundation laid at school into their future. “We stand by you.”
He added that those learners who are unhappy with their results should follow the official procedures.
“The first step is remarking. The necessary forms are available at the school. If you are still not satisfied with the outcome, you may also rewrite your subjects later this year to improve your marks or to pass a subject.”
According to Gouws, matric results are important, but they do not define a learner’s future.
“There are many institutions and pathways available to pursue your dreams. Even if there is a hurdle along the way, it does not determine your future.”
