They recently decided to reach out to the KwaNonqaba destitute communities by offering not only a soup kitchen, but also some valuable rugby tips and techniques to youngsters interested in the game.
The team, all dressed in their smart team uniforms, provided food to quite a number of hungry people, including children and some elderly individuals who quickly formed a queue at the soup kitchen.
For the young boys, the presence of a few rugby balls and well-respected rugby players on hand proved too enticing and soon the soup was forgotten and an impromptu game followed.
The mill at Kleinberg caters for most animal species, ranging from pigs and poultry to dairy, beef, sheep, ostriches and game feeds. From Kleinberg, De Heus produces and delivers bagged and bulk feed in both meal and pelleted form.
People of all ages lined up at the soup kitchen that formed part of the recent De Heus Kleinberg feedmill community outreach to KwaNonqaba.
Locals vied to have their photo taken with the rugby team of the international De Heus feedmill at Kleinberg.
