MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - The women of Great Brak River Police Station gathered at the station hall on Tuesday, 8 August, to celebrate the launch of the Great Brak River Police women's network.
Pixie Pink was at the meeting. Terry-Ann Terblanche, better known as Pixie Pink, has been serving in the South African Police Service for almost 20 years.
In 2005 she went into journalism and later became the spokesperson for a large security company, where she continued to assist victims of all types of crime.
In 2019, she and her husband, JP, established the Royal Group Pty Ltd, a publishing company. The aim was two-fold; to create awareness about victims of crime and to render physical assistance, specifically to women, to complete domestic violence protection orders.
Pixie has become one of the most well-known children's activists in South Africa. She decided to embrace the portfolio of "Victims' Advocate" as she advocates for the rights of children, specifically abused children.
Sergeant Lauriane Botha, media spokesperson of the Great Brak River Police. said in the meeting "we are warriors for women of God."
"We are strong women. We can do everything together. I salute you today. Stand up and be yourself, not someone else," Botha said.
