MOSSELBAAI NEWS - World Plumbing Day is celebrated on March 11 annually to honour the critical role plumbing plays in societal health.
Under the careful guidance of Marius van Wyk, a committee member of IOPSA and a past chairman of the association, several plumbers offered both their time and resources today for the betterment of the community.
The plumbers worked at crechès in Sewende Laan and Civic Park, installing, repairing, and maintaining functional plumbing systems.
While relying on sponsorship for the materials used, the plumbers generously gave their time and expertise to repair and restore dysfunctional plumbing systems and to better the lives of the young toddlers being cared for at the two crèches.

In Sewende Laan an inside ablution facility was installed for the convenience of the little ones attending the crèche, while in Civic Park extensive repairs to existing infrastructure were undertaken.
"I want to thank you and recognise the contribution of the plumbing professionals to improving the lives of our little ones. Mossel Bay's Executive Mayor recently launched the MAD campaign. MAD is the acronym for Making A Difference.
"Today, you have made a difference in the lives of our people, and I thank you for your effort and kind sponsorship, both in kind and in talent and know-how," Alderman Niklaas Booisen said.
Municipal manger Colin Puren also thanked the IOPSA professionals for their input as he visited the crèches.
