BUSINESS NEWS - Playball is an international education-based sports programme that was proudly founded in South Africa more than 40 years ago and is currently active in 17 countries worldwide.
Playball Mossel Bay has been serving the community from Albertinia to Great Brak River in 35 schools, crèches and educational centres for 25 years.
We deliver a curriculum-based multisport and movement programme for children of the foundation phase (ages 2-7).
We develop children's core muscles and competence through conditioning and physical participation in sport.
Through sport, children build confidence, co-ordination and a positive attitude towards learning and life.
Sports and movement skills directly affect how children learn, behave, participate and develop in school.
Early physical development supports focus, independence and self-confidence, while strong foundations help children engage effectively in classrooms and in the outside world.
The programme is taught by professionally trained and qualified coaches who receive updated training more than twice a year.
The curriculum is structured, age-appropriate and designed by sport scientists and specialists in the foundation phase of child development.
Multi-sport lessons are designed to support whole-child development (rugby, netball, hockey, tennis, soccer, volleyball, baseball and cricket). The unique methodology ensures individual development in all facets for every child.
Multi-sport lessons are designed to support whole child development.
At Playball Mossel Bay, we pride ourselves on our promises to deliver an exceptional quality of service, to be dedicated and to be punctual.
Coaches are assessed on a regular basis to improve their ability to support children in their growth and development.
We regularly provide feedback to parents regarding their children's progress through reports, personal calls, photos and videos. We also partake in school sport days and organise our own fun days.
Our coaches ensure a fun, positive and safe environment to learn and grow. We are passionate about children and their development, and we go the extra mile to support parents with children who may face development challenges.
Using sport as the means, we give every child a sound base from which to develop every aspect of their lives.
Physical skills are developed to create a foundation and benefit from a variety of different sport skills, emotional skills are nurtured to help build perseverance, confidence and courage, and to teach children how to cope with failure, and social skills are cultivated through introducing teamwork, empathy, leadership and co-operation.
We are very grateful for the loyal support over the past 25 years and hope to serve the community for many more.
