South Cape FET College has proven to narrow the search for any employer to find suitable unemployed young people in either to be placed on internships, job shadowing and experiential placement.
Young unemployed people who have some work experience are more likely to be employed than those who have none.
"We are thoroughly aware that South African employers are on a daily basis confronted with a shortage of adequately qualified and experienced staff. Students at South Cape FET College are a good future source of such staff. Our call is for companies to try them out at no cost and simultaneously help them develop their skills by offering them a short period of work experience," says Selwyn Kiewiet, Senior Personnel Practitioner: Job Placement at South Cape College.
Companies are urged to file their details for placement on the college's database, with Kiewiet. Contact him on 083 460 1557/ 044 884.
