Steam train's inaugural trip a success
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The newly-restored steam train, named Sylvia, had its inaugural trip to Hartenbos on 4 April - its first in 16 years.Mossel Bay Advertiser previously reported that a test run was conducted on the 96-year-old train earlier in March to ensure all was operating smoothly before officially carrying passengers to and from Hartenbos.Group Editors Michelle Reyneke and Suzette Herrer climbed aboard the train with their friends and families over the Easter weekend, making sure to enjoy the scenic route from the train's windows.
