Family
During their visit to England, Emslie and Juandré stumbled across very important information. The Wilmot family dates back to 1379 in England and most of the men in the family were high ranking officers in the British Army and successful shooters at Bisley. The most famous was Sir Henry Wilmot, a Brigadier-General, who was also a shooter at Bisley and the Chairman of the National Rifle Association 1884 – 1886.
He was also awarded the Victoria Cross, which is the highest recognition for bravery in the United Kingdom. Juandré’s dream is to continue with the family tradition and would one day like to join the British Army.
Juandré is now working hard to qualify for the Commonwealth Games, taking place in Scotland in 2014.
