FOOTBALL NEWS - A youthful Kaizer Chiefs side succumbed to a 3-2 defeat against Golden Arrows in their MultiChoice Diski Challenge opener of Sunday afternoon at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.
In a thoroughly entertaining attacking encounter, Arrows took the lead as early as the third minute when forward Nkosikhona Dube bundled the ball home beyond goalkeeper Brylon Petersen.
However, Chiefs captain Nkosi 'Ace' Ngcobo found an equaliser shortly after tapping home a lose ball after goalkeeper Sherwyn Naiker parried a Yusuf Bunting shot straight into the path of the onrushing midfielder.
The 2016 Champions hit back again ten minutes later with debutant winger Yusuf Jappie finding the back of the net after a flowing team move from Vusumisi Vilakazi's side.
After the break, Amakhosi fought back once again to grab a wonderful equaliser as defender Luke Moses produced a looping header from a corner - to find the top corner beyond a bemused Naiker in goal.
