MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The man accused of murdering well-known KwaNonqaba residents Nwabisa Baliso (46) and Luvuyo Mgwelana abandoned his bail application during his appearance in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 19 November.
Vusumzi Ntsodolo (49) was arrested shortly after Mgwelana’s body was found inside his Mfuleni home and Baliso’s was found in hers in Bantom Street on 8 November.
He made his first appearance in court on 11 November, when the court heard that he was facing a charge of murder and murder related to domestic violence, and that the State intended to oppose bail.
Ntsodolo abandoned his application, and the matter was postponed for further investigation.
He is expected to appear in court again on 20 February.
The Southern Cape Police’s spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, previously told Mossel Bay Advertiser that the motive for the murders is still under investigation.
