MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay locals and visitors from around the Garden Route and across South Africa spent the weekend partying on Santos Beach at the 10th annual MosJazz music festival, which ran from 27 to 30 November.
The summer season kicked off with the festival’s arrival on Thursday, which saw more than 23 000 people dancing each night away, confirmed by the MosJazz operations team.
Armed with camping chairs, drinks and more than enough energy, many festival-goers made use of the nearby ocean to cool down, with the music the perfect background.
Despite Saturday’s unwelcome rain, the spirits were not dampened in the slightest.
Local musicians, acts from Cape Town as well as 2005 Idols SA winner Karin Kortje performed well-known hits and managed to keep the party going from Thursday to Sunday.
Each year, swarms of people flock to Mossel Bay to enjoy the sun, sand and soul music of MosJazz.
Made up of musical genres R & B, reggae and soul, the festival has become a highly anticipated event around this time of year.
