Four limited overs matches were planned, however, only three were played due to day 2 being rained out.
The u.11 team won two and lost one match and the u.13 team won all three matches.
There was also an exciting sixes night tournament for both u.11 and u.13 sides where the players gained valuable experience under floodlights.
For the u.11 team, Neil Bekker was the leading run scorer with 53 runs for the week and Migael Vermeulen second best with 43 runs.
With the ball Matthew Bolttler was the leading wicket taker claiming 6 wickets for the week followed by Migael Vermeulen with 5 wickets and Stephan van der Berg with 4. For the u.13 side, it was runs a plenty with Stephan Ruschenbaum 121 not out off 63 balls and scoring the first ever century for the Academy on Day 1. His half century came off just 19 deliveries and his century off 43 deliveries.
Francios Barnard also joined the party by only being dismissed once and getting two half centuries.
Edrich Janse van Rensburg was also in the spotlight by scoring his first half century for the Academy and being involved in an opening stand with Francios Barnard of 135 runs.
Stephan Ruschenbaum finished the week on 198 runs with an average of 99, then Francios Barnard with 108 runs and an average of 108 and thirdly Edrich Janse van Rensburg with 96 runs and an average of 48 for the week.
Francios Barnard and Stephan Ruschenbaum also had a second wicket partnership of 152 runs.
With the ball strike bowler Reinhard Lotter was the leading wicket taker for the u.13 team claiming 6 wickets and Martin Bekker was second best with 4 wickets.
Power hitter Heinz Otto hit the biggest six of the tournament using the new D&P RPP Blade (which the North West public claim) travelled over 65 metres).
