MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 30-year-old woman was arrested at the Mossel Bay Hospital earlier this week.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Chris Spies, Mossel Bay detectives are investigating a case of common assault and crimen injuria following an incident at the provincial hospital on 10 March at about 20:45.
“Reports available at this stage indicate that Da Gamaskop police took a man to the hospital and on arrival noticed a scuffle.
“The woman acted out of character and the members intervened.”
Spies said the woman allegedly swore at police as well as security personnel on duty and assaulted a member of the police.
“The members contained the situation and arrested the woman. The accused already made her first court appearance.”
The outcome of her appearance is unknown at this stage.
The hospital was approached for comment, which will be added when received.
