MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Both lanes of the N2 are currently closed following a serious motor vehicle accident involving a car-carrier truck transporting four vehicles, which had overturned just past the Vleesbaai turn-off near Mossel Bay, in the direction of Cape Town, this morning, Monday 5 October.
According to the Mossel Bay Municipality, a second accident occurred when other vehicles collided with the carrier truck’s trailer, which had overturned across all four lanes of the N2.
Emergency services and towing services responded to the scene.
“No fatalities have been reported. Patients were treated at the scene and transported to a hospital in Mossel Bay for further medical care as needed,” says the municipality.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area, use alternative routes, and exercise patience and caution.
