MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Municipality has appointed SMEC (Consulting Engineers) and Entsha Henra (Contractors) for the rehabilitation of Long Street and Stasie Road, and the upgrading of a portion of Sandhoogte Road in Great Brak River.
The estimated completion date for the project is February 2021.
The scope of works includes the relocating of municipal services and the construction of a new traffic circle at the intersection of Amy Searle and Long Streets.
Municipal services must be relocated at the intersection of Amy Searle and Long street and therefore the intersection will be closed on 4 October.
Traffic will be disallowed access through Amy Searle and Long streets. Motorists having to access the Great Brak CBD will have to use the access to the CBD from Sandhoogte Road. The relocating of services will be complete by 5 October.
The intersection at Amy Searle and Long Streets, where the new traffic circle is to be constructed will be closed from the morning of 12 October up until 19 October.
All traffic users having to access the Great Brak CBD will have to use Sandhoogte Road.
Every effort will be made to ensure that access to all properties will be maintained and that the disruption is kept to a minimum.
The public, businesses, and owners' patience during the construction period will be appreciated.
