MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The wildfire near a school at Ruitersbos (Brandwag) has been suppressed and the incident contained. Mopping-up operations are underway.
The wildfire was out of control for a short while because someone burned dead wood, branches and leaf litter.
Garden Route District Municipality appeals to all people who live, work and visit the area to exercise extreme caution when making fires. Only do so in designated areas.
Controlled burns are not permitted during the fire season.
