MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide and driving under the influence following the death of a girl (14) when she was reportedly struck by a taxi on Louis Fourie Road opposite Mountain View, Heiderand, on 22 October.
The Southern Cape Police's spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, said the police were called out to the scene following reports of a pedestrian having been hit by a vehicle just before 16:30.
Emergency medical services declared the girl dead on the scene. Spies said the driver was arrested on the spot and will appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court once he has been charged.
The investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.
