MOSSEL BAY NEWS - An anonymous donor from Mossel Bay, touched by the works of compassion done by Gift of the Givers, donated R8 million to the organisation.
In a video recording circulated on social media, founder of the organisation Dr Imtiaz Sooliman explains that the man told Gift of the Givers employee Ali Sablay he wanted to make the donation because he has no family.
This year Sablay visited Mossel Bay on several occasions to do relief work. Following a call from the prospective donor, Sablay visited the man in Mossel Bay.
The donor told Sablay that personal loss made him lose his faith many years ago. However, following the projects of Gift of the Givers who make a difference in people's lives indiscriminately, he realised the existence of a compassionate God was a reality, so he decided to support the organisation and turned back to his faith.
The Mossel Bay Advertiser did make enquiries regarding the donation, but at the time of going to press had not received more information.
