MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Shell Heiderand has once again proven that outstanding service, community support and a dedicated team are the foundation of its success.
This popular Shell fuel station in Heiderand, Mossel Bay, was recently awarded the prestigious Golden Retailer of the Year Award for 2025.
Out of hundreds of Shell stations across the country, Shell Heiderand is one of only three branches to receive this honour, making the achievement even more remarkable.
"This award is the highest achievable for fuel stations in the Shell Fuel Station Group, one we unexpectedly received," says Pieter Nel of winning branch. "It's a testament to the hardworking staff here at Shell Heiderand, and the dedication and support of our customers."
More than just a fuel stop, Shell Heiderand has become a trusted destination for motorists, travellers and residents. Whether customers are filling up, grabbing a quick meal, shopping for essentials, or visiting the Spar Express, the focus remains on providing a positive experience.
Nel added that at Shell Heiderand, customers are considered a top priority. "No matter who they are, I always tell my team to treat everybody with the same friendliness and respect. And they consistently deliver," he says.
This award adds to an impressive track record. Shell Heiderand was also recognised in the Best of Mossel Bay Awards in both 2024 and 2025 and continues to strive for excellence.
When asked about future goals, Nel says the focus remains simple. "We would like to win again, but the focus is always on our customers," he said.
Having worked alongside the team for the past seven years, Nel says one of the most rewarding aspects has been watching the staff grow and develop. Their commitment, work ethic and dedication have helped build the trust and reputation Shell Heiderand enjoys within the community today.
