MOSSEL BAY NEWS - KwaNonqaba Police Station personnel attended a successful workshop on the topic, work relationships, held on Valentine's Day, 14 February.
The station's Social Crime Prevention officer, gender-based violence coordinator and its victim-friendly room coordinator, Sergeant Salomé Marais, was the driving force behind the event.
The workshop was spearheaded by the station's Social Crime Desk, its Men for Change organisation and the police's Employee Health and Wellness department.
KwaNonqaba Police Station spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, said Captain Rosetta Bhana, who has been a reverend in the police for 12 years, spoke about relationships in the workplace, being tolerant of one another and about treating colleagues with dignity, respect and kindness.
Following the workshop, prizes were handed out, including for best dressed man and woman. The winner of the best dressed woman award was Ilisha Kaptein, an administration clerk at the station.

The best dressed man title was awarded to Sergeant Wilson "Pottie" Potongwana, who also celebrated his 50th birthday on Valentine's Day.
Kapp said the event, held in the Bravo Lounge at the Garden Route Casino in Mossel Bay, was an overall success and enjoyed by the KwaNonqaba Station personnel.
