MOSSEL BAY NEWS & VIDEO - For a second year running Camissa Solutions hosted scores of Jazz music lovers at the MosJazz Festival on De Bakke Beach in Mossel Bay.
They promised visitors an unforgettable experience of smooth music in a magical beach setting and festival goers clearly enjoyed every minute of it.
The festival took place over four days and several local, national and internationally famous performers had the crowd spellbound and often on their feet and dancing the night away.

Many took to the shallows to dance in the sea to the tunes of saxophones, guitars, and to the mellow voices. Others, dressed in swimming costumes, enjoyed a proper swim in the ocean, especially on the first evening, which was extremely well attended, much to the organisers' surprise. There were countless opportunities for selfies and young and old keenly participated in the festival.
This year the festival boasted a new, technologically advanced stage and a great deal was done by the organisers to ensure the best possible sound quality. Inside the festival arena, easy conversation was possible while the musicians were performing and it was evident that visitors made a family event of the festival.
What an experience this young man had to have UK-based saxophonist Andrew Young perform a personalised solo just for him.
Stall operators were mostly locals who couldn't thank the organisers enough for the opportunity to sell their foodstuff. Some stalls even offered a delivery service into the festival arena.
"We are from a local NPO; we are trying our best to raise funds to meet our objectives of community upliftment and we thank the organisers who gave preference to local traders," said one stall holder, who sold scrumptious curry and rice.
On each of the four days visitors flocked through the gates from early on. They pitched their camping chairs and many enjoyed picnics in the setting sun while waiting for the big names to take to the stage.
The visitors came from far and wide. Several were from Cape Town, Paarl, Gauteng and even from Windhoek in Namibia. A number of people, even locals, preferred to camp at the nearby caravan parks in order not to drink and drive.
"We are regulars; we've been to Tietiesbaai and went to the first MosJazz Festival last year. Nothing beats Mossel Bay; we will be back for sure," one visitor said on behalf of his group of seven friends.

Andrew Koopman of Team AK Media, on behalf of Camissa Solutions, organisers of the annual event, said the organisers were happy with the turnout and the success of the second event.
"We hope to engage more Mossel Bay businesses, going forward, as this event contributes to the local economy."
He said the second MosJazz Festival lived up to their expectations and expressed the hope that future events would enjoy event greater support from the locals and Garden Route jazz lovers.
