Fruit is an easy snack
Fruit such as apples, grapes, bananas and pears are really easy to eat and are loaded with vitamins as well as fibre. Be sure to give the apple or pear a good wash before placing in your child’s lunchbox.
Dried fruits
Dried fruits such as raisins, apples and apricots are tasty and flavoursome. Keep a lookout for the ones without sulphur dioxide preservative, if available.
Yoghurt
Kids love the mini tubs of yoghurt that are sold at most supermarkets. Don’t forget to send a spoon!
Dried muesli bar
Dried muesli bars make a divine snack. If you cannot make your own at home, try to find some sugar-free ones at your local supermarket.
