It works in association with PPA Tactical, an industry-leading Cape Town-based private security company founded 12 years ago with a focus on tactical armed response.

This means highly trained security personnel are coupled with extensive knowledge and resources to fight crime.

PPA is an internationally recognised and accredited training institution. PPA's partners, directors and instructors have real-world experience in advanced tactical operations, nationally and globally, including tactical K9 operations as well as high-profile, high-risk VIP protection, hostage release and hostage rescue.

When a client's alarm is triggered, military signals are sent out - one to the fully monitored control room and two to the closest response vehicles. These vehicles are geolocated to the client's position, while the control room then focuses on contacting the client to determine what the emergency is and what other services may be needed.

Alcatraz Security also offers a PPA panic app, which will enable its guards to respond to any security emergency, no matter where the client is situated in South Africa and 27 international countries.
