Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman (62) in her Ocean View flat in Mossel Bay.
Mossel Bay Police, led by Lieutenant Colonel Ashley Michaels, arrested the suspect less than 48 hours after her body was found with a wound to the neck.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies says the suspect was arrested in KwaNonqaba last night.
Though the victim's identity is known to Mossel Bay Advertiser, it will not be made public until the family members have arrived in Mossel Bay.
The suspect remains in custody and is expected to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court once charged.
He faces charges of murder and theft of a motor vehicle. More charges might be added to the charge sheet.
The investigating officer is Warrant Officer Francois Pick.
