MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A whale carcass washed up on the beach between Dias Beach and Hartenbos today, 2 September.

The Mossel Bay Municipality issued a notice to inform residents of its removal.

It said some members of its Environmental Department are making arrangements for the carcass removal, which is in an advanced stage of decomposition.

“Members of the public are alerted that heavy machinery will be deployed on the beach for the removal and therefore, it is advised to avoid the area,” the municipality said.
