The ANC continues to talk to potential voters to ensure votes for the ANC in Mossel Bay in the upcoming election on 7 May. In meeting with the election leadership of the ANC in the Mossel Bay sub-region, Minister Hanekom urged comrades to set aside all their differences that made the ANC to lose power since 2000.

His emphasised unity within the movement, saying: "Losing power to the opposition came as a result of our own neglect, recklessness and personal ambition, and this must stop now."
Minister Hanekom delivered a moving message to the community of Joe Slovo in his quest to secure votes for his party, highlighting the life and history of heroes of the people's struggles to transform society, economically, politically and socially.
"The life of Tata Madiba, together with the hard work of struggle heroes such as Joe Slovo, Christ Hanie, O.R. Tambo, Walter Sisulu and the likes, should be immortalised by ANC leaders, -members and voters today" minister Hanekom added.
He called on people to go out in their numbers on 7 May and vote ANC as the ANC has a long history of delivering on the mandate of the Freedom Charter.
Minister Hanekom stated: "The ANC is the only liberation movement in the world that is, was, and always will be able to protect the rights of all South Africans, and deliver on its election manifesto. The ANC lives, and the ANC leads".
