MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - Siemens South Africa, in association with the Siemens Foundation in Germany, visited Mossel Bay during the school holidays to assist teachers to make science a hands-on experience for their learners.
Each participating school received a huge container with science lab equipment and teachers were trained by Siemens facilitators to use the practical experiments included to enhance their learners' retention and education.
One of the local champions of the project that has been running for the past six years, teacher Linda Schomer of Cape Town is very enthusiastic about the programme, saying learners can get to realise the value of science in their every day lives.
The Siemens Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, Emily Molefe was on hand to hand over the containers and wish the teachers from local primary and secondary schools well with the implementation of the programme.
