MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 17-year-old boy appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court yesterday, 13 October, in connection with a murder that took place in the Da Gamaskop Police Precinct last weekend.
The Southern Cape Police’s spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, said the reports indicated that a group of people had brought a 19-year-old man who had been stabbed to the Da Gamaskop Police Station at about 18:00 on Saturday 11 October.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died the following day as a result of his injuries. The 17-year-old was arrested shortly after.
He was granted bail of R500 during his appearance yesterday, and the matter was postponed to 20 November for further investigation.
A media enquiry requesting details on where the stabbing took place as well as the name of the victim has been sent to the police. An update will be given as soon as more information is received.
