KWANONQABA NEWS - A clean-up campaign will be held in the Barcelona Circle area, next to Watson Avenue in KwaNonqaba, from 09:00 until 14:00 on Sunday 19 October.
The project, known as the Visit Kwa Clean-up Campaign, is a community effort to restore pride, clean up the environment and show that the real beauty of Mossel Bay is in its people.
Campaign organiser and Mossel Bay resident Walter Blaq told Mossel Bay Advertiser the initiative was begun as a way to encourage more people to visit KwaNonqaba and push a more positive image of the area.
“Visitors will be able to see our culture, art and spirit,” he said.
Although the campaign might not change things immediately, keeping the environment and its surrounding areas clean and litter-free is a good place to start.
The hope is that the campaign will lead to positive work in the KwaNonqaba community and will continue in the future.
Residents, local businesses, photographers and visitors are invited to join the clean-up.
