The director: Infrastructure Services, Dick Naidoo, and Manager (Water and Sanitation) Eric Louw, accompanied the Councillors on their visit to the insides of the dam wall.
"The engineering integrity and upkeep of the dam is of the utmost importance to Mossel Bay Municipality. We are so fortunate to have a dedicated team of professionals who care for the municipal infrastructure, whether it is a water treatment works, a borehole, a pipeline, or an intricate and well-engineered dam wall such as here at Wolwedans," Councillor Dellemijn said.
Alderman Dirk Kotzé expressed his thanks to the various teams responsible not only for clean potable water but also for ensuring that spillages and waste are kept to the absolute minimum.
"Despite popular belief, South Africa is a water-scarce country, and I urge every resident and visitor to use water sparingly."
