MOSSEL BAY NEWS - With the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence being launched on 25 November, South Africans will once again see a fair share of marches and other events take place as part of an international campaign to curb violent crime.
The Mossel Bay Community Police Forum in collaboration with the South African Police Services, embarked on an innovative campaign to create awareness.
Sixteen women serving at various local police stations were selected to "share" their stories, whether on being a working mother, having been a victim of violent crime or abuse, or being involved in work after hours, uplifting other women.
A photograph, with a story shared, has been made into a posters, to be shared online throughout the 16 days of the campaign.
Today, Lieutenant Colonel Mpato takes centre stage in the campaign.
