MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Pastor Samuel Campbell and Pastor Joseph from Christ For All Mission Mobile - Ethiopia Church visited Mossel Bay on Monday, 28 May.
As the director of the programme, Jesus Save, Pastor Samuel Campbell and his group of 30 Ethiopians handed over 200 audio Bibles to 200 people of the D'Almeida and Asla Park communities at the D'Almeida Civic Centre.
The vision and purpose of this mission are to spread the word of God by distributing the audio Bible to those in need, especially to the blind and elderly hearing-impaired members of the community. Furthermore, it is to spread the love of the Gospel, and to teach and to build spiritually by handing out audio Bibles.
The Ethiopia Church, in collaboration with the chair of the municipal social economic development portfolio, Councillor Venolea Fortuin, ward councillor Erica Meyer and the executive in the office of the executive mayor, Peter Juthe, attended the event, where food parcels were also distributed to deserving beneficiaries. A total of 626 people received food parcels.
Pastor Samuel and his group thanked the executive mayor, Alderman Harry Levendal, who seconded councillors Fortuin and Meyer to represent him at the function.
Through this project, the Ethiopia Church group encourages all churches to contribute to the plight of the poor. The municipality welcomes all organisations willing to take hands in the fight against poverty.
