WESTERN CAPE NEWS - All applications for event and temporary liquor licenses for events which will take place from 1 December 2017 up to 14 January 2018 should reach the Western Cape Liquor Authority (WCLA) offices no later than 17 November 2017 at 16:00 in order to be considered timeously.

Please note that irrespective of the cut-off date above, all event and temporary liquor licences applications must be made 39 days before the first day of the event. 

Applications not complying with the 39 day requirement must be accompanied by a condonation application for late submission and proof of payment of the penalties for late submission as set out in the Liquor Regulations.

Applications for condonation will be considered up to and including 14 December 2017 only. 

The Liquor Licencing Tribunal will be in recess from 21 December 2017 until 15 January 2018.
