MOSSEL BAY ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The Mossel Bay Arts Society had another treat for lovers of fine music last Thursday when renowned musician and flautist Dr Liesl Stoltz warmed hearts with her talent.
Accompanying her was the equally talented guitarist Michael Hoole.
The symbiosis between these two musicians was tangible - with the guitar providing a gentle vehicle for the flute to come into its own, undiluted right.
Liesl's mastery of the flute brought a well-chosen and entertaining programme to life.
Many an emotional tear was shed during well-known pieces such as Mediation de Thais. Other masterpieces provided soulful journeys and it was breathtaking to be transported into the heart of the Amazon forest with its earthy rhythms, parrots and sunsets. It was all spine-tinglingly beautiful.
The only complaint received was that the audience wanted to hear more.
The Mossel Bay Arts Society (an organisation that has been successfully managed and steered for over thirty years) is committed to sustaining and celebrating the arts by showcasing international and South African artists.
