Modern Pentathlon comprises an obstacle course, fencing, swimming, shooting and running.
The obstacle course has taken the place of horse riding in the sport. Horse riding had become too complicated and expensive, with the problems of having to hire a horse or have one's own horse, transportation of horses and the unpredictability of horses' performance, among others.
On 18 March, Windt was presented the Nedbank Running Club SWD branch Multi-Sport Athlete of the Year 2022 Award for his achievements last year.
He coaches a number of athletes in biathle (running and swimming) and laser run, which comprises running and shooting at a target.
